New Wheels from Seismic, plus Dan Gesmer joins the circus!
I'm very pleased to announce the immediate availability of the new Seismic Blast Wave wheel, along with pre-existing wheel shapes in new colors and duros...
The new Seismic Blast Wave is 78mm tall by 50mm wide, with a radiused outer lip for high grip with controlled sliding. It's molded around the full version of our proprietary Energy Conversion core, making it astoundingly light for a wheel of this size. The Blast Wave is available in 75A clear orange (on white cores) and 79A white (on "smoke" black cores). Pricing is identical to the 77mm Speed Vents.
The 3dm Avila (75mm tall by 65mm wide) is now available in 81A bright blue, in addition to 73A classic clear red and 77A white. The yellow 84A Avila has been discontinued. In the Seismic Hot Spot (69mm tall by 51mm wide), the 76A duro is now translucent sky blue instead of classic clear red. Furthermore, like every other white wheel in the Seismic/3dm line, the 77A white Avila and the 80A white Hot Spot are now bright white, instead of creamy off-white.
Along with Seismic's line of high-performance carving trucks (patented in 1993), all of the above wheels are available starting today. I'll share photos as soon as we have a chance to shoot them. Seismic will introduce a new line of high-performance decks and completes later this summer...
Finally, I'm excited to share the news that I (Seismic founder and owner Dan Gesmer) recently signed a contract to perform as a skateboard artist in a new Cirque du Soleil production called "Wintuk". (As some but not all of you are aware, in the late 1980s I became known as an artistic innovator in flatland freestyle.) I'll train and rehearse at Cirque's Montreal headquarters from middle August through late October. The show will run from early November through early January at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Wish me luck!
The relatively short performance run means that business should continue more-or-less as usual (with a little help from new crew members). While in Montreal and New York, I expect to remain the point person for most business communications, with Colorado-based staff packing and shipping orders.

Re: New Wheels from Seismic, plus Dan Gesmer joins the circus!
My photographer will shoot the new wheels in his studio tomorrow (Saturday), and I'll share the professional images as soon as I can.
For now, here's a so-so shot of a pre-production sample of the 75A Blast Wave, with no graphic printed on it.
From this angle, and without careful lighting, it's hard to make out the lip radius. But it's there!

I was just trying to get a clue of how they would look since there was no pictures.. And when I read a radiused wheel on the speedvent core something a bit similar to a flywheel formed in my head. Sorry if it sounded negative..
Btw. they do look pretty awesome
I hate signatures, so i turned them off

Its a shame you seem to have stopped the embossed graphic stuff on the newest wheels, Dan.

A special type of mold is required to work lettering directly into the urethane. And that type of tooling tends to create concentricity issues in wheels with larger diameters. Going with printed graphics is the right call on bigger wheels!
