Call me crazy... but I honestly don't see why this thread is so cool. Personally, if I'm gonna slide, I want a set of... slide wheels. I guess it's just fun to slide and shred on soft wheels to some people. Seems like a waste of money though.

Powerballs have some serious grip, IMO, if they're not slid much. But once you get those horizontal grooves in them, they're buttah.

After teaching new people to slide on their freerides I like to have them slap on my Slide A's. Their reactions are priceless. Very few expect to slide so easily and far : D

Hard wheels actually wear nearly just as fast as soft wheels I find. And yea I'm hooked on that EW crack.

ok this is either genius or a insanely stupid idea but what about 70mm 98a wheels so you can tech slide but with more foot room. i personally would get some for my fsm to test cuz i love long ass slides but i don't have large hills to hold them for like 5sec slides on soft wheels.

i've seen no skoolz and rain skates but i didn't no abec 11 made flashbacks and grippins in 92a i've gotta try some of those

I've heard pretty mixed reviews about gumballs. A lot of people have said that they slide choppily even in the higher duros, but if you lathe/radius them they'll get a lot better.
However, Grippins are generally regarded as awesome and very underrated. And they're centerset so you can flip them to even out wear.
Personally I'd try the Grippins.

hmmmm. yeah i no what your saying but for some reason im leaning towards the gumballs because theyre 76mm and already have 3 sets of 70mm wheels and 2 boards. drifters, gfh retro free rides, and 9balls (75a).... im going to do some searches for <70mm hard wheels

ive radiused some 88a grippins and its just not good. its unpredictable to the point were you can barley do a stand up and they chatter like crazy. i would stay away from hard abec thane.

I think those rainskates would be sick. I've seen videos of guys in canada thrashing them and they seem very nice.
