Yeah. I only weigh 120-130 and my wheels will NOT wear down unless I'm going at a decent speed like over 25mph or more. Usually I can tell that I'm burning off a lot of thane cuz I can smell something burning. It's both a satisfying and disgusting smell.

Re: Show me... abused wheels!
Can somebody define "ovalized" for me? I hear that term floating around more and more but don't know what it means.
I'm thinking it's kind of the opposite of a flatspot, where one spot is worn less than all the others on a wheel. That happened to a few of my Flashbacks and it sucks, but is that what you're all talking about?

Your wheel goes from being a circle to an oval...

stare at your wheel with the hub facing you, its round
an ovalized wheel will be oval shaped.
if you were to spin the wheel it would look like its wobbling on the truck, its just uneven wear on your wheel.

Its when your wheel become the shape of eggs, Its like flatspotting for soft wheels.
Underfoot, it feels like a shiatsu massage. without the chopper noise.

What size wheels do you ride?
How much do you pay for them?
How long does they last?
I bet I can find you a cheaper wheel that lasts longer.

70mm i never go any harder then 81a cause i hate harder wheels, for new wheels usually 40 bucks+ (live in hawaii and everythings expensive), and they last about a month till they get unbearable.

I hate the feeling of harder wheels i've tried a majority of the wheels out in the market (still haven't tried any earthwing wheels, some landyachtz wheels, and any seismic/3dms)

Re: Show me... abused wheels!
You should really try Rainskates tsunami, but being in hawaii, it will cost you a pretty penny.
Satori Gooballs in Cali Orange are a great affordable 70mm wheel under 81a..must be 78a.
The contact patch gets wider as you wear them down, contrary to the S9 you killed, so they wear slower the closer you get to core...much like classic Kryptonics wheels
Dont try to go under 30$ a set, its usually a really shitty wheel.
Show up at as many longboard events on your island, the sponsored events usually have free wheels or riders selling used gear. thats the cheapest way to get free or almost free wheels.
