Was out for a DH sesh at Mt.Scott Oklahoma and wigged out on speed, went for a toeside shutdown. Left the board and slid about 75 to 100 feet on the kneepads and slide gloves. In the process of all that going on out of the corner of my eye I saw my dropwedge shoot off into a bouldrer. I was afraid the board was going over the cliff, but when it hit the boulder the axle on my 8mm bear bent, the wheel probably chunked when I was sliding the board.

No I didn't fall. We practice slides all the time, so that when the real thing happens you aren't freaked out. Luckily I brought my Demonseed too! I just need a new hanger.

Nice save mate. Practice is important, its the difference between making the right move and saving your hide and apparently sliding off a cliff : D You make a good case for this.

Yes it spooked me pretty good. Dorian made it look easy with all the speed check slides he could do. If you wear full leathers and tuck all the way you'll get some serious speed. It was fun though hitting it a little over halfway.

They have less than 10mm urethane depth so that wouldnt work.

could make a bushing to go around the kingpin to eliminate slop. 10mm is more than enough to make that.
