Re: Show me... abused wheels!
I figured this would be a good place for this question.
I burned out a set of flashbacks (almost) and started riding some Grippins. I was hitting a left hand corner yesterday and I noticed some bizarre wear patterns on my wheels. The uphill wheels (predrift into the corner) coned normally, while the downhill wheels coned backwards (smaller side away from the board). I'm curious as to whether this just happens with centerset wheels, or if there was just some freak anomaly. I'm not really just b!tching about this, and I flipped them already, but I'm curious.
Anyone had this happen to them?

its probably because you are riding center set wheels and drifting to only one direction it wounds like. if you were sliding/drifting both directions it would wear more evenly. lucky for you grippins are center set so you can just flip the wheel to wear it down evenly.
TINKERING WITH YOUR SETUP IS HALF THE FUN OF BOARDING.

Yeah. That's about what I figured.
If only that corner went both ways.

same thing happend to my friends stimulus (1 was reversed conned)
he gave them to me to yesterday when we were just dickin around on some hills and i fixed it.
Anyway all you have to do is start sliding both ways and eventually it will be fixed and start conning normally

Center-set wheels will do that on big slides. Or if you slide one way more than the other. Just slide both ways and you'll be good. Center-set wheels can be sick.

I was doing a bunch of slides hands down and stand up (both ways), but the turn at the bottom usually had me doing a huge slide into it. Oh well. Just gotta go find another turn that goes the other way.

Re: Show me... abused wheels!
Some little hills by my house. Only 3 sets of those were cored via tuna. I dont really go out skating unless its a hill im going to slide on. And i like to stick with the same set of wheels until they are cored.
