Orange Zigs
Hey everyone, i'm considering a set of orange zig zags/bigzigs but I havent seen or heard much about them. i've tried limes and pink and I love the drift whenever I can catch one and thought that the orange might be something I wanted to check out. How do they run for you?
i'm considering putting them on an avenger when I get one for the new longboarding season this spring.

They don't make Orange BigZigs.. But they do make Orange ZigZags.. There very drifty, and hard... But the odd thing is by nature the wheels design isn't supposed to be a "driffty" wheel.. In my opinon if you want a a pair of wheels that drift better and smoother that a Lime -Zag than I would go with flys... Like 78a durometers... I run 75a-83mm flys on my drift board and its super smooth in the striaghts and the turns... But just becareful, I hear they can come appart if you slide them toooooo much, however mine have been slide to peice's and the still look ok...

Re: Orange Zigs
im a big fan of hard wheels in a grippy shape. 86a isnt that hard, theyre still surprisingly grippy and amazingly fast. im not sure how they would feel on a speedboard though cause i was riding them on a 36 inch board so i would have had more traction over the back foot. mabey i duno... kibbling has been riding 66mm oranges on his demonseen for a while and seems to like them.
hey yo son that's my name whats the word?

Nah. Chaput's been posting for a while about 86a BigZigs and how he's definitely doing a run. The only thing I've heard about the 92a wheels is that he's only done a handful for certain riders. Most people are scared of 83a wheels, I don't think 92a would sell at all.

I agree to a certain extent.. That Orange Zigs would be a great wheel cause they would be the most grippy hard wheel you can find... So that would give you killer speed in the striaghts and they wouldn't loose as much speed in turns.. However "I beleave" that this would be ideal on a smooth-ish pavement surfaces.. But on a rougher poor quality pavement surface a wheel of this sort does work (in my experance) that good. The hills in my area are not of the greatest pavement quality and there for why I recomended Limes or Lemons, assuming its better to be a little too grippy than not grippy enough.. That's also why I mentioned the whole Flywheel idea... I guess I assume most of the roads we get to speedboard down aren't of the best ideal pavement quality... Anyways.... Btw: I like the way soft wheels feel anyway even on the straights, smooth as ice...

Throw them on a EVO... And you wont stop sliding... Top mounts always get really good traction..

Re: Orange Zigs
I bought my lemons earlier this year and I was 'afraid' of them for the first bit as we got acquainted! When I bought them I had intentions of later getting limes for the back but now after having many many miles of pumping on them I have confidence in the grip in the rear and would definitely go for some 75mm Oranges up front!

Yeah, I remember one of the first posts he made about the Orange Bigs was about how big guys, especially you, can really put them to good use. The lips on the BigZigs flex and deform sooo much, even in 86a they're going to be ridiculously good.
