How do you know if you broke your bearings?

I am paranoid that while i took out my bearings for cleaning and put them bak in, i broke them or something. how do u no if u broke ur bearings? is it as simple as the wheel wont turn for more than like 5 seconds?

If they're broken, they don't spin at all.

bearings are made of steel, they are pretty resiliant as long as you dont wail on em with a hammer. you will know if you broke your bearings if the outer rim has detached or become misalligned with the inner rim. Also if the balls are missing or gone that's a pretty good indication too, haha. As long as they arnt flopping around and they spin freely when properly installed in your wheels you should be in the clear.

Your wheels might not be spinning probably because you tightened the nut down too much. Loosen that up, and you should be ok.
