    Default snow wheels

tell me if i'm nuts here...
i'm kinda looking around to make snow wheels for my boards...
i'm thinking, get some thumbtacks and push them into the urethane, like you did on the bottom of your shoes in elementary school.
or if there's some way to get nails into the urethane maybe?
or maybe, get some tiny brad nails and hammer them into the urethane so the tip sticks out about 1/4"

am i barking up the wrong tree here?
yes, an uber-grippy, square-lipped slalom wheel IS the best for sliding

have you seen those snow/skateboards that have grip tape on them? that might be more doable, since with snow and wheels your going to have pretty close to now traction no matter what you make them out of, especially to turn.

you could drill countersink holes and then glue in metal spikes, it would taek forever and probably compramise the interety/drift of the wheel. It would be grippy. get some crappy wheels and try it out. it would probably work better for centerset wheels. let us know how it goes.

use a staple gun and just staple the crap out of them. Should make for some nice grip.
