Stupid Questions...
So I've ordered my first board, and am geekin' to get ridin'...
But since I'm new to this whole scene, I have a couple of probably dumb questions--
1. Is it possible to change the bushings on ANY truck (without being having the skills of a mechanic)?
2. Would you recommend sliding gloves, even if you're not gonna be slidin' very often??
3. What's the biggest wheel made (as far as diameter and depth)???
You may see me as calm... But I go off like a bomb.

i would reccomend slide gloves any way that way if you eat mad #### you hands will still be ok
i believe the biggest wheel made is a 101mm fly wheel but i could be wrong about that

Re: Stupid Questions...
1. Yes, all you need is an adjustable wrench or a skate tool to undo the kingpin to change bushings.
2. Yes, but don't buy them- make them its really easy and their is a how to in the sliding forum.
3. Momo's are huge and redic but i don't know where to get them. Flywheels come in 97mm size. Check out ABEC 11's site to get the other specs. Keep in mind if using huge wheels, you'll want 10mm axles and some huge cutouts on your board so you don't get wheel bite.

Re: Stupid Questions...
1 YES it's one nut, couldn't be simpler.
2 YES a slide glove really should be worn if you're going faster than you can run. and arguably even if you're not.
the Coleman slide should be learned by everyone who steps on one of these. It's often the only way to stop in time.
3 97mm flywheel. by abec 11.
It's usually debatable whether you're better off on a big wheel.
Though they're certainly good for rough surfaces.
Some people like them for long distance pushing, so long as you have a lowered board.

Re: Stupid Questions...
Okay here's a couple more (and probably just as stoopid):
1. Is it worth switching up bushings just to have a different color?
2. As far as you can guess/estimate, what's the biggest wheel that could be put on a Bustin' Complex?
You may see me as calm... But I go off like a bomb.

Re: Stupid Questions...
Bushings are changed for different durometer (hardness).
Lower # durometer = Softer = less effort to turn.
70-72mm will probably be best for the complex without the need for a lot of riser. Depends on width/heigth of trucks

Okay, so what say you since I ordered it with the Paris trucks??
I'm really not THAT concerned with it, but if I can change the color without it being too pricy and annoying, I'd do it.

Right on...
Do you know if those will work with the Paris Blacks?
I'm assuming the aluminum inserts would be best?

Re: Stupid Questions...
barrel bushings are the way to go, or khiro bitch. metal inserts dont allow as much turn and get worn out much faster
