    Default Which bearings are better

I have LY Abec 7 bearings in my kryptos and just bought some bones reds for my gumballs. I`ll put whichever bearings are faster and better in my gumballs and use the other bearings and kryptos for rain days and sliding. Should I put the reds ion the gumballs.

What abec are bones reds? Will they be just as fast as the LY abec 7's? I want my gumballs to have the faster bearings.

Bones bearings are not abec rated, but they are similar to 7's . they wont make a difference. so i guess put the reds in your gumballs since they are new and not damaged.

Bearings don't matter, at all. Abec's mean nothing when it comes to longboarding, that system is used in machinery, not skateboard wkeels. I've taken my builtins close to 60mph on my speedboard. Buy the cheapest bearings, and keep them clean, you won't notice a difference between these and ceramics.

Ya i'll just clean up my old bearings and put em in my kryptos and put the new ones in the gumballs. I got another set of bearings because im going to be switching between the 2 sets of wheels quite often to go sliding and I dont want to have to switch the bearings everytime.

Some of the slalom guys like a tighter caged bearing, something about side to side slop is not so good to some.

Yeah while abec means less than many bearing co's would want you to think.
All bearings are not created equal.

Good point. I have Revenges, Biltin's and RR's also Khiro's and they all spin/ride different and their slop is different. Then you spin/ride a ceramic or swiss bearing and you want to spread that luscious bearing butter all over the pavement! But the above inexpensive bearings are very fast.

The only time I notice bearings making a difference was on flats when I have to push to be able to cruse. Downhill I have not notice any differences between cheap & expensive bearings. Just keep them cleaned and lube use a sawing machine oil one of the best out there, really light and pure.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cold beer in one hand - longboard in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, Yeaa Haaa What A Ride!!!

I can see your point with slalom, but overall riding it really doesn't make a difference.
