Purple Blastwaves

Looking at getting some Blastwaves. my local retailer only has the orange 75a and purple 83a.
Can anyone give some feedback on the purples, how they ride, grip and slide?
They are going on a s9 bamboo pin with RII's.

ps; I am 192lbs and like to calve and slide to wash of speed, yet still maintaining some level of grip.

There' gonna be tall on a topmounted deck...You may have to riser the crap out of it..

not the crap. not more than speedvents, bigzigs or other wheels in that size. blastwave are also offset, and they are more narrow.
i ride them on a topmount with the very low kahalanis without risers (but some wheelwells, i made for the speedvents)

But he's on RII's which are higher, and he's on a flexy Bamboo pin with very small wheel wells - Which will bite sooner than a stiff speedboard, and the Blast waves are the highest out of all the wheels you mentioned.

I think GOS are the worst wheels out there. Terrible qualities. They either drift to much or don't hook up.

I took a hairpin at about 40 with them and they just gripped, drifted, and gripped up again making for a very scary ride. WORST wheels.

I only have a set because they are so cheap and I don't mind murdering them with slides.

I'm with LB1. I can't stand them and love treat'n like #### wheels. But plenty of people have placed with them under their board. So whatever. Ride what you like.

Yes I like them too! Fast and grippy. Looking for a wheel that will slide a bit more on steeper sections.

Been searching, but i can't find a review on the new black ops purple 83A blastwaves? Anyone ridden these? Slide/drift smoothly?
It seems like it was one of the only new black op wheels not to be talked about.

I don't believe the Blastwaves come in Black Ops urethane yet in 83a (purple). They're advertised to come out later this year, though. I put up a review of the 83a 77mm Speedvents in another thread, but I don't think that's what you're looking for...

Is selling Black Ops blast waves (83A). Well, the picture of them has "Black Ops" written on it. Unless im missing something it seems they're 100% available.
Yeh thanks, i've read your review on the purple vents serveral times, nice write up. Now if only someone would do the same for the purple blastwaves haha
