    Default New All-Around board

Getting a new board, will be primarily used for downhill commuting and carving, with the occasional speed bombing session. Note that I run into random obstacles sometimes, and prefer having a kicktail

    i'm thinking:
    -42" landyachtz drop carver
-randal DH's 160s (already have, this isnt changing)
-kryptonics classics 70s or 80s (got both sets)
-bones reds (what else?) + spacers
    -hard non angled risers

The only thing i'm unsure of really is the board. i'm also looking at the LYachtz 40.5" Urban Assault, the 43" Kebbek revenger, the flexdex 40", and the earthwing 44" supercharger....

Ok so i'm not really sure on this one yet.
What are some thoughts i should consider?

Watch out for wheel bite with 160 I think it was designed for 180, but a nice board.

yeah, if you're going for the newer all-wood DC, those 160s will give you wheel-bite.

i think i'm going with the older semi-fiberglass model, but i'm not sure if it will give me any trouble. the nose looks like it can handle even 150s cuz its so thin, but the tail might give me trouble. If anyone knows how the randal dh160s work with this board let me know. otherwise i may just go with the LY-40.5" urban assault, because it was made for dh160s it seems

My drop carve, with 150's could handle sideset wheels... barely, like, by about 1 or 2 mm, so the 160's with non sideset wheels would be cutting it very close... and yeah I have the older one, so be prepared for wheelbite potentially.

Go with 180s and nothing taller than 70mm (if it's the all-wood version).

yeah i think i may just drop the extra 10 dollars or so and get the urban assault landyachtz instead... also cuz it has a similarity with the lower foot deck from the trucks, just without the dropped design, which is new and strange to me still, so im leanin towards that now.. and the thing with it fitting the 160s better as i mentioned

nevermind all of this nonsense. wat im getting is settled with this:
    -the 42LY drop-carver
-new bear 181s (its like two trucks in one cuz u can flipp it whoa)
-wheels: probably stick to the 70kryptos
-new bones reds bearings con spacers
    - risers...?

i dont understand how risers would work here, i do get that they would really just lower the deck on the trucks even more, but are there special risers for this cuz regular ones wouldnt seem to fit?

oh and i now have some Randal DHs for sale, they are brand new pretty much (i put my wheels and bearing on them once and took them off. thats their total wear)
