Re: Widest Patch
OK .. so I'm resurrecting this post from the grave because I need anyone who has the knowledge to share the wealth. I did a Forum search and couldn't find the answer, that's why this bump. Staying with the original topic of wide patch and using the info y'all gave me I wound up with the 3dm Avilas 75mm x 65mm x 81a .. the ugly cotton candy blues. For what I do, which is mostly carving at under 20mph, they're great. OBTW, they are mounted on S10 trucks and under an Original Torpedo. SO .. now I'm moving on to a second board. Staying with stricly Carving, I'm going with a Loaded Vanguard flex 2, and I'll use the S10s also. That's set. Now it's back to the wheels.
Seems as though there is a lot of hype around the Abec Centrax, and the Nersh Money Hax when speaking of wheels that are nearly as wide as they are tall. Both seem to be well represented and wheels of good reputation. My question is .. what happened, or why aren't the 3dm Avilas included with them in comparison? I've tried to find out info on the Black Ops series of 3dm Avilas to no avail. Just strikes me as being strange that a wheel which is nearly identical in size to a Money Hax isn't mentioned as being someones .. "my favorite wheel for Maryhill". At nearly $15 less than the Hax .. and $30 less than the Centrax ... I'm looking for some real sound advice or reason why I should go for the "big bucks" wheels and pass on a wheel that is every bit as good, but considerably less? I'm serious .. your input is crucial to my next investment. Thanks ~ Talyon
