Default What are the best wheels for sliding?

    Hi guys,

I am pretty new at Longboarding/Skateboarding, and I want to learn to do Coleman Slide.
I have Lime BigZig 80a on my LOADED Dervish, and I am thinking to get extra wheels.

What are the best wheels for sliding?

    Thanks,
    RC

This wouldn't be the first time I've seen a thread start like this and the original poster never comes back.

These are tech-slide-wheels, they have very little traction and aren't really suitable for much other than sliding and perhaps park.

there's a few more but these three seem to be the front runners

if you want a wheel that you can also cruise and ride around on that will still break easily something like powerballs, higher duro strikers, blast waves, or flys would be a good choice.

Ok, that wasn't exactly a hammering.. just be nice to the newbies, or don't say anything.

I'd recommend the flys, very nice wheels, very nice slide. Get 78a or 81a and either 76mm or 83mm.

no skoolz are fine 65mm would be best for your Dervish

you could also try the harder 77mm Strikers if you wanted a bigger wheel

get softer no schools, they are good all round wheels but there are way better slide wheels out there. by slide wheels i mean actual slide wheels. if you just want a multi-purpose wheel that drifts nicely and lasts a long time, 76 flies are teh shiz.

strikers, also nice, little bit smoother ride maybe. 81 is good, 86 or something like that will make stand up slides that much more effortless, and still give you grip when you want it. but really if you wanted grip you wouldn't use strikers so you might as well get the harder ones.
