    .
Not in my experience. I have a set of lime Zigs that look exactly like mrpauliepants and have from the start. But I also have a set of red Retro Zigs that look fine, where the graphic hasn't chipped at all.

Could be the different urethane, perhaps. Lets just say that a flexible wheel doesn't help any.
AEND have been having QC issues lately, but could be a completely different paint for all I know.

But it has to be something with the zigs. My gumballs are coning and soon retired but they still have the graphic on.

It is the side cut of the BigZig that does it. The outer 1" of the wheel flexes heavily under pressure. Thus the graphic flakes and falls. I de-label all my zigs. One of the first things I do when i get a set is a warm soapy bath with a 3m green scrubby pad in the kitchen sink. Starts the mold release removal and scrubs the label off.

Graphics are applied after the pour. A realse agent is just that. It's so they rease from the mold easily, making them prone to things other than the mold to not stick to the surface. The only time this has caused a problem was when wheels were poured in different duro's , but the same color.. That is why we slalomers use a sharpie to write the duro on the wheels.

Yeah..It surprised me (being an O.G) that some people buy Decks based on the graphics.
I could care less about the pretty picture on my board, or the logo on my wheels. I want a set up that rides how I want it to.

whenever i get a new set of wheels, i memorize the duro, size, model, and just scratch the graphic off with a butter knife. so whatever i do to the wheels, i wont care.
To skate or to longboard, there is no question.

Yeah, my Gumballs and Flashbacks don't have this problem...

...which is why I posted a thread asking about it. Because This is the first time I've had Zigs, and I hadn't ever heard of this problem. So I wanted to make sure that I wasn't riding on $50 wheels that were gonna screw up and decide to throw me or something like that randomly.

Honestly, now that I know it's really just an aesthetic issue, I don't really care. I mean, it would be nice, for $50 to have the logo stay on... But it's definitely not the worst thing that could happen.
