    Default Radiused My Big-Zigs

I got tired of the slow chattery slides so i used a router to radius the edges

the outcome is pretty good. they still chatter a little bit but the biggest difference is that sliding scrubs off less speed. they seem to grip just as well but are easier to break loose when i want them too. not a huge improvement but it helps.

    Nice mod.
Thats what happens to them if you slide them for a while. My pink ones look maybe halfway inbetween new and what you did. Glass has cut some parts of the inner lip.

yeah these were at the point were they were a little rounded over but the whole edge was cracked, not chunking yet but i didn't want them to spread more either so that part just got cut off.

you don't have a kingpin, two conical bushings, a drill clamped down, and a file. I've used that before I had better tools and it worked fine.

so are big zigs pretty good for sliding? i wanna find some wheels that are good for sliding, but i love bombing hills too.

might not be the best thread to ask, but since this thread is about big zigs, thought id throw that question out there.

Get flywheels if you want to slide. They slide easier and smoother. Zigs will slide but not such a smooth slide and not as easy to break free.

Looks pretty good, I'd like to try this on some other wheels besides Zigs.

I used a belt sander with the wheel bolted to a spare hanger, great way to break in bearings too

i like the idea but i dont get why you did it for wheels on a vanny. it would probably be sweet for some lemons on a speedboard tho
