Seismic's New 83a
I know they're not that new, but I'm looking for a long distance pushing/cruising wheel and I've heard that Seismic's urethane in the Black Ops 83a Speed Vent is just as soft and grippy as a 79a wheel made from most other wheel distributers. Any experience on either the 77mm 79a or 83a's? Are the 83a's kind of hard for a ldp wheel, or is that just a weird rumor? Thoughts and feelings? Thanks.

I run 83a b.zigs and 80a rears on my ldp setup (w bennet 5.0 front and tracker 129 rt-s rear). I switched from running all 80a when I felt the difference having a slightly harder wheel in the front. A fast tacking front end wheel (83 has been great) and a grippy rear (80a does the trick, i for whatever reason want something a little stickier) makes for a great wheel setup.
Im my opinion if the seismic 83a w/blackops is as soft as a 79/80a in a competitors wheel, it may be perfect for all four corners of your ldp deck.

the reflex urethane is actually about 2a softer then what is shown so your front is actually around 81a and your rear at 78a in "normal" durometer.

Hey, I didnt know that one! Thats good info, especially for buying other wheels. I always wondered why my bomb hills wheels at 80a felt harder than my zigs.

Re: Seismic's New 83a
I have the 77mm 79a translucent blue Speed Vents and they seem like a 75a in other wheels.. way softer than the Seismic white 79a Blast Waves I have.
