and not 20ft from where i started i got a big mouthful of wheelbite
so now im a sad panda and looking for answers
i cant use cutouts since this is a fiberglass board
so would getting 66mm superballs most likely solve this problem? i mean its been ages since ive skated but 10mm doesnt seem to make much of a difference
Put a 50 degree baseplate on the front or a wedged riser or riser or smaller wheels..
Not only are the 50 degree plates taller than the 42's but the greater pivot angle (which is measured from the horizontal starting at 0 degrees) also causes the axle to approach the deck more obliquely and therefore it travels farther before it bites. this applies to wedged risers too.
76mm wheels are also just too large for a topmount if that's what you are riding IMHO. It will take a lot of riser to solve your problem and the deck will end up being pretty high. If you ride fairly smooth pavement you can get by with a lot smaller wheel.
Stiffer bottom bushings can help maintain clearance too.
Any one of the variables might not make much difference by itself but they all add up pretty fast.
i also happen to have some carpentry supplies lying around so what if i cut out some thick hardwood risers to go in between my trucks and .125 cusions?

Wood works. Put it next to the deck and the shock pad next to the baseplate.
With a top mount you will likely get wheelbite without risers...duh.
What deck is it?
First check to make sure your hangers arent flipped. (180 marking away from deck=unflipped)
A 50 degree baseplate in front will likely help as someone else mentioned.
Angled risers may also help.
Risers are really cheap at the skate shop. Use your shock pad as a template. Also, which wheels are you getting bite on. If it is your front then only wedge that truck.
