Default Olive bearings

I got a set of bearings from a friend who got them off someone. The brand is Olive and they're rated abec 5. I tried popping out the shield on both sides and i noticed that they were made of metal. Does this mean that they're sealed bearings (that i can skate in the rain with) or they're just really crappy bearings?

sealed bearings can have either metal or rubber. but i think that if they are metal on both sides they should be sealed

Maybe not though, have you looked to see if they have c-clips?

It's call "shield" And if so, you have to release the circlip to get them off

Easy to clean without ruining the shields. Shields just fall out after you remove the c-clip. Seals have to be pried out, and sometimes that can damage them. The disadvantage is they get dirtier easier.

Shields in most cases don't contact the inner race, which can mean less friction. Seals sometimes will make light contact. I really doubt it's noticeable though. I've never noticed it. Lol..
