it's not your wheel that needs spacers, it's your bearings. if you dont have spacers you run the risk of crushing your bearings. and thats bad.

so to answer the question: no. wheels do not need spacers.

but to give you a hint at longboarding: put spacers on EVERY setup you have. they increase the longevity of your ride.

All wheels should have spacers in them.
It makes the wheel and the bearings in them last longer.

spacers and speed rings also allow you to tighten your wheels down all the way so which makes the ride smoother, slides better, and faster since there isn't any play.

get em on every set-up. treat like they are bearings....a necessary part to your board
