Are there any good wheels out there that are 67-69mm?
Or is it that after the good 66mm wheels, only 70mm wheels are available?
The only wheels I know that fall in this range are the 69mm Sector 9 Race formulas. I'm running em now and they work (the extra 1mm in 70mm wheels give me wheelbite already), but I'd like a smaller contact patch, so I was wondering if anythings out there.
My next option would probably be strikers, but I'd really like to get something closer to 70mm as I'll be doing mostly flatland cruising/dancing on the board I'll be running em on, so I'd like em to roll a bit longer.

and how's the contact patch on the hotspots? would they be as wide as, say, zigs or alligators? I was looking for something with a contact patch closer to powerballs or strikers.
Essentially, Avs and Hotspots are the same wheel. Avalon is a super traction wheel with a sharp lip that some felt was a bit slow due to lip formation, and tenacious grip until they let go unpredictably. Home modders trimmed the lip back to improve both issues. Hot Spots are the factory version of the same concept. Good wheels, I've got trimmed Avs on my slalom board.
besides the avalons and hot spots though, any other options?
and as for the hot spots...have you guys ever heard of white hot spots, or 79a hotspots? some guy online says that he has white hot spots that are 79a in durometer...searched online and i couldnt find either a white hot spot or even one with 79a durometer, so I'm thinking he must be mistaken. (not really an online store, just some dude selling off his multiply site)
If you can go down one mill, look at the Earthwing 66mm 82a they feel like larger wheels and the have that magical thane compound

I used Hot Spots on my DH setup for months. They were sweet wheels. Other than the wheels already mentioned, I believe Manx slalom wheels are/were 69 mm. I don't believe you can really get them anymore, but I recall seeing them on one website so who knows?
Anyway, I highly recommend Hot Spots.
