The old 47" Hypercarves are the same as the new ones I'm sure, but nevertheless I bought mine a few years ago, and I just got back into longboarding. My question is simple (I tried searching, but it wasn't going down) if I get some 75-76mm wheels, assuming there are no risers, or maybe let's say 1/8 inch risers and Paris 180 trucks, am I going to get bite? I'm almost positive I'm good to go with 70s because I borrowed my friend's 70s, and it was fine, but I wanna go for that extra 5-6mm for some additional speed and craziness...Thanks

I was hoping that maybe somebody already tried them out that way I could avoid spending the money on something that's just gonna bite like crazy, and I'm never gonna use, you know?
Hello, I have an old hypercarve too. Fitted with 75mm wheels: no wheelbite. But the trucks are not Paris180, I use Indys 169 front wedged, back flat 1/4 riser and soft bushings. I think Paris( or Randall, Holey, ...) need redrilling the board to make the cut-outs matching the wheels as these trucks reduce the wheel-base. Hope that help.
