anyways, currently I am riding a self built pintail with R2's and gumballs which is great for carving and cruising. I am currently building a 40" board with top mounted trucks as a transition into downhill, and will probably buy a drop-down (Landyachtz Evo) later as my skill progresses.
For the 40" that I am building, I plan on getting Bear Grizzlies trucks but can't quite decide on a wheel. Like I said, I plan on getting into downhill and this will be my board to start learning. I am 180 pounds for reference.
For what I want out of my wheels:
Something that will give traction as I learn to ride at higher speeds
A wheel that has some slide so I can learn to drift/slide corners
Which wheel would you suggest for my situation and setup? (cost is not a factor)
orangatangs
pink or lime bigzigs,
grippins
flywheels

I have a demonseed with bear grizzlys and gumballs. The grizzlys have squeaky pivot cups and a little oil will fix that. Anyways I would get the 75mm 80a BigZigs, which are the lime ones. You have a slightly higher duro from 78a to 80a from gumballs, so you should be able to slide out slightly easier. Also the BigZigs are very wide, and would be great for downhill, providing grip.
