Default my bearings are filthy from the city. help?

i work in manhattan and have been longboarding ALL OVER the place lately. and my bearings are getting filthy like REALLY filthy. how would i go about cleaning them? with out damaging them.

tons of tutorials on how to clean bearings.

Ex.

go back to the page that lists all the topics in reference to bearings and wheels, and look @ the top of the list. One will say something about maintaining bearings/cleaning bearings.

Probably a good place to start!

a lot of bearings have dust on them and just look dirty.... Make sure its not that

Yea dude, I also skate in and around Manhattan (mostly Brooklyn though) I know that the inside of your bearings are probably ok, its just the shields that need to be swabbed with an ear cleaner thing.

When you want to clean them, go on youtube and search "how to clean skate bearings" and look for the Bones Tutorial.
