    Default New System wheels

System [new] wheels : The Longboard Store

The new Martin Wheel from System Skate offers an exceptional wheel with an equally unexpected price. The Martin uses a large injection molded core and high quality urethane. An all around hardness of 78a makes this wheel good for cruising, carving, and speed. The graphics show dogs walking themselves. Made in the USA.

Anybody hear anything about them? Round lips so do they slide well? Theyre only $25 shipped so I make give them a try sometime....

The wheels are supposedly similar to EW 70mm Superballs.

yes, an uber-grippy, square-lipped slalom wheel IS the best for sliding

Lol no freebies from tlbs but I wish. I was just browsing their site and found these and found good stuff they have to contribute to our community. How many other online stores create a site for you to sell or buy used stuff that takes away their business?

    I want these wheels

Looks like the same core and mold. The mold release lines are in the same spot seemingly. Hurray for round lipped wheels though!

    But why only one duro....

edit: lol @ the graphics too. I like them.

Ive been looking for a set of slide wheels for my commuter. Now I have to decide between these for my commuter or 58mm SlideA for my slide board when I get money....

78a a little too soft for sliding?
That's just my opinion. Go skate and make your own.

Not for tech sliding, just sliding in general.

Bump for I just stumbled into these and I'm glad I searched before I made the same thread but now I'm thinking they might just be 70mm superball clones for people who want pretty colors.

If they are the same as the superballs, they probably aren't a good slide wheel.

I have those exact 70mm superballs... and while I don't slide with them (I wouldn't personally comment), I've seen many reveiws on here -both threads and in the reviews section - describing them really as having superior grip and just not wanting to let go.

It's one reason I'm thinking about buying another set of wheels for a slider/dancer that I want to put together.

It could be totally different urethane though.

    I wish they made a 65mm 86a version, personally!

I disagree. I own the red 70mm 78a Superballs (same formula as the black, just older version) and they let go very easy. Very slide-able for a 78a wheel. They wear fast though and cone easy, but they are center set so you can flip them.

70mm EarthWing Superballs drift quite nicely, IME.

Earthwing FTW, all their molds are being appropriated. I hope they're doing alright.
