Slide Wheels?
Hi i am new to longboarding and i want to get some wheels that i can slide with as mine obviously are not the right kind. What do you guys recomened for sliding wheels?
eg. height, width, durometer, brand etc
hope some one can help ive seen many videos of slides and it looks so cool!

What kind of sliding? Wich videos have you seen?

have you seen the rob carter videos? What is he running cuz he seems like he can kinda cruise around and pull massive slides. On my slide a's i can barely go over cracks.

Rob is using Gravity Snaps, wich are 62mm and 97a, and they will not feel any softer than Slide A`s really. What you see is mad skill, and probably nice San Fransisco pavement.

I'm just starting so trying to learn how to shut down slide so that i can get up to high speeds and stop- I am trying it on smaller hills first.

For that you can use whatever wheels you already have. If you have a street deck around, you can learn simple toeside slides on it , just to get a feel for the sliding, as the small harder wheels will slide easier.

damn. i cant even go into driveways with these wheels without getting thrown off. time to learn how to ollie i guess.

i have a pintail longboard, i dono if thats all good for sliding at all?

You can slide on pretty much any board, no problem.
Just pad up and remember to transfer weight to your hands to unweight your board and wheels.

So when you slide you pretty much bend down put your hands on the ground and snap your board round?
Sounds eazy enough . now i just have to make my home made slide gloves .
