think of a really long pencil eraser; if you hold it by the end and drag it across paper, it will skip across the page.
If you have a really small eraser, it wont skip; it will "slide" very smoothly over paper.
same principle applies to urethane on a core across pavement.
I cant believe I had to wait 3 years for an answer!
