Re: dancing wheels??
It really doesn't matter what wheels you use for a dancer. It would only matter if you were sliding, and it that case it's no different than a cruiser.
Speed Exaggeration Formula
(Your Exaggerated Speed) x (.8) = Your Actual Speed

Re: dancing wheels??
i don think you will like those for dancing. they are very hard so wont be good for cruising around. i would suggest a wheel in the 78-83a duro range and probably about 70mm. no larger than 75 i'd say. the size does depend on the deck, if it has cut outs/wells, or risers.
i suggest otang 4 prez, abec 11 gumballs, abec 11 strikers, or any other similar wheel

my limes are so easy to slide now that they're broken in. also, just try and work on technique more. the oranges won't slide that much easier compared to how much harder they will ride, just takes time to get the motion down, and then most wheels are pretty easy to slide. Try loosening up your trucks also, it'll help a bunch

Re: dancing wheels??
Gumballs have a chattery slide but are easy to slide and they have a really smooth ride (lots of urethane).

Re: dancing wheels??
For a dancer I really dont see the need to go over 70mm...Unless your taller, then fine...As far as brand, any flavor will do...It was mentioned earlier...I stay in between 78a and 84a...Orangatangs, Retros, Tunnels, Abec11...I really like the Earthwing Freerides...Just bought them...

Gumballs are what I have on my Gravity Ed Econ., and I really like them for those same reasons, they slide real nice, and they're very plush wheels.
I need a new idea for a sig.

Re: dancing wheels??
I was thinking about picking up a new pair of wheels myself.
I'm torn between the Abec 11 77mm Strikers or maybe the Gumballs. I'll be doing dancing, sliding, and carving. Any thoughts or recommendations?

I have a board set up with strikers, and the one with Gumballs, and they're the two boards I use for dancing most often.. I prefer the gumballs over strikers.

i can get the frontsides like 2/5 times. toesides haven't even tried to learn haha. too scary for now.
I say just find some used wheels on here around 81-84a without super sharp, flexible lips to learn on. starting on broken in wheels that are slightly coned helps a lot with the initial give of the wheel. also they're cheap!
