Nah...I haven't had the chance to ride them since. I'm moving them over to my Caften, which I have set up to grip really well, believe it or not. This board is usually set up with Lemon BigZigs, so I'm betting I'll get a nice comparison.

Rivers knows his stuff, so based on his info, I'm thinking the wheels will work out favourably.

I'm noticing a grip issue on my nemmi at the moment. They are breaking in really fast as well. I do have it setup drifty as #### though.

I love the wear pattern on these. The lips just change color. They don't really show any damage whatsoever

In a prior post it was stated that they wear evenly/uniformly, so no swirling?

Thumbs up Re: Cult wheels, review

    deathrays...effing insane...

i was trying to slide them around this hairpin at about 25-30ish and they barely barely let go. like they would stay hooked up, slide for a sec or 2 then hook right back up. its usually really really easy for me to get loose...not with these sirs! im sure they will get looser as i ride them more, but really really impressed with the grippyness in them...

as for some DH action..supppper nice! I was really impressed with the ride as igotcars said they are very plush! really good wheels...worth the buy!!!

hope this helps any you guys that are on the fence about these...Cult has something really really good with these ones!

    correct. No swirling.
Swirling doesnt always affect the surface of the urthane. Some wheels swirl but the surface stays uniform. Some swirl and the surface degrades so that the swirls evolve into pretty large irregularities.

of all the Cult wheels I have ridden, including sample sets, production wheels, and proto types, there has been no swirling. All the wheels have worn evenly.

This is what I have found using the Earthwing Obombers, but the Orangatangs' swirling seems to be staying uniform so far.

    Thanks for the response.

I was givin these wheels in july by Keith Rebhorn.
I was racing on old Otangs and didnt have enough money to buy new wheels at the time.
They did the job AND MORE, they stick, they are taller than 4pres, but still predictable.
They ride alot like BigZigs: they have sticky predictable urethane, NOT sticky mold release.
Once they are broken in they are still good, until they start to wobble due to bad coning.

    THESE WHEELS ARE DOPE....STOKED!

I have only ridden the Gammas, but what I've heard from other boarders, the Gammas just slide a bit more when they are fresh.

Mine have broken in nicely and it feels like the ride is just as fast as when they were fresh, but they ride smoother and when I'm carving down a hill it feels a bit like snowboarding. I can slide these easily if I want to, but they can also be really grippy when I need to do a hard >90 degree turn. So I can actually second the guy who said that it feels like they are reading your mind.

    Hey guys,

What are these like on rough surfaces? Sketchy at speed or do they still grip/slide when required?

    Thanks

Rough surfaces? no problem. is that due to the wheels ones uses? or how one skates?

do they grip/slide when required? yes. they do.

I haven't taken them really faster than 20-30 mph, but so far they have been really stable.

And yes, as I already said, the do grip/slide when ever you want them to.
