i'm kinda confused. I went to the cult site and then from there to tailtap.com which says that the blue wheels are "apocalypse" formula. I thought they were supposed to be Horratica. Am i just confused or did i not see something?

Im just about to buy these wheels but unsure about a few things.

I know these wheels have amazing grip but when Im taking corners I want to be able to break into a nice drift followed by a predictable smooth regrip. Do these wheels regrip quickly or can you really feel yourself starting to regrip?
And as far as the drift goes is it smoother then a Lime Zig?

yes they have a very directional slide/drift and hook back up very smoothly and predictably. Speedchecks, as AJ said are great even at stupid speeds. These are a godsend

Gamma Rays came today. I'm giddy to try these out and make a good side by side comparison to the Shockers.

How does the grip and rebound on these compare with zigzags or bigzigs.

the blues aren't as nice as the orange. they wear pretty fast and lose grip, unlike the orange.

Got my Blue Horritica blend Gamma Rays today. Unfortunately I got them right as I got home from getting a hard cast on my broken wrist, so it might be a little while until I get to do a real test. They are going on my 09 Hellcat and 08 Kebbek Comishin, both of which I am waiting for as well. Damn, its kinda funny that I broke it on an Evo though, and kinda sad it was before I got either of my new decks.

On a more on track note the wheels look good cosmetically, there are a few tiny bubbles in the urethane on the back sides of the wheels, but they feel great and I am ready to ride!
