i'm a big fan of 200mm hangars....but the evo has such massive cutout that 180's will be fine, if anything 160/180 was what the original design was built for....connected to big wheels 85mm+.....
either way you cant go wrong....i'd seriously suggest the 200's only on the fact that if you chose to run your kooks on another board later, it gives you more choices for board/wheel combos...
Cheers for the advice Monk
I ordered a set of 200mm kookies this weekend cant wait
Ive heard so much good about wide trucks on a top mount, ive got a s9 race im going to use them on as well as the evo. Ive been riding comp2s 186mm prob closer to 190mm cos i run spacers in them so there a bit wider than my r2s. I really like them they feel solid no rattlles like you get with the r2s, i think its just the snug fit of the bearings on those comp axels. I imagine that the kookies would ride simillar to the comp2s

Whats so good about comp 2s? I no they have a spinning axel but i dont think id spend that much money on trucks that just have spinning axels, is there anything else that makes them so good?

Hi Jesse they just feel a really solid truck. The axels are bomb proof, precision ground so no play with your bearing on them. Nice turn to them and you have so much choice of base plate angles. The spinning axel isnt why i bought them it was more for there strenth and feel. All in a good truck
would an evo with dual 35deg plates be hella bad, and is a 35 back 28 front totally retarded??
that dosent sound to bad lol cause that would end up being.... o wait, maybe put a 28 front 50 back, that would be... 50 front, 38 back, yea that would be sweet that way.
anyway here we go, new evo setup right here
venom protos, 190mm smokies

oh my goodness, i just got all choked up seeing that
Yeah, I was pretty bummed when I first noticed it. It still rides ok, but it's getting kinda flexy and I feel sketchy bombing hills on it because I know it's just waiting to snap, so I went ahead and salvaged the trucks & wheels to put on other boards.

that must have been a sad day... i cant even imagine having to my speedboard!! did u try getting Tri bond wood glue with that little fan tip and injecting a ton of wood glue in there it should keep it together, and as we all know, "wood glue is stronger than wood"
I thought about it but the cracks run all the way down both sides starting at the drop bends, and I think the board might actually be split all the way through the middle.
ps sorry to the OP for going off topic, once again let me recommend good ol' 35/50 randals
