mine was the exact same way plus the some plies were a little off (longer than the rest)
so i sanded it down a bit, painted it and epoxied the FU ck out of it and its perfectly fine

im actually thinkin about gettin another one just because

09 Evo, 852's unflipped with Randal red bushings, and 81a Avilas w/Biltins. Like this it's a badass carving machine. I've taken it to about 40mph on numerous downhill runs with no problem.

when you guys say 35/50 randals. are you using the 35 baseplate with the 180 hangers?

im thinking of doing 42/42 or 42/50 randals. with flywheels and playing around with some angled risers

i heard some guy broke his leg cause the randal 180 hanger poped out of the 35 baseplate, so i dont really want to mix those trucks.

i also have crail trucks to try on it too.

ya, BDirthead busted himself up good when the pivot popped out. BUT this can be fixed with a new pivot, like a nylon tube that fits in the pivot bushing and fits the pivot.

Yea, I do. Its pretty much luck of the draw with them (35* bp and 180 hangers) or unluck in this case. All you have to do is get a new pivot cup, you can use nylon tube but I just switched the pivot cup from a 50* plate and it worked (I'm pretty light so I would just go with nylon tubing).

    I am now running:
    87a roadside/85a boardside front
    90a/85a back
    Venom barrels

the truck has nothing to do with why it popped out. he probably had the trucks rediculously loose and the kingpin fell off. its like saying im not gonna buy randals because some guy bent his axles on them.

i ran 35/50 for the time i didnt have smokies and they rode just fine.

    2009 Evo
    Sabre 200mm trucks
    76mm 78a Kryptonics Classic wheels

Even with 75mm O'Tang InHeats, which are 56mm wide, I can still turn the trucks until they reach full lock without any wheel bite.

no, the 180 hangers dont sit all the way in the pivot, it popped out causing instant wheelbite. that's with the stock 35 pivot bushing, you can remedy this with a nylon tube pivot.

ya, as seen here Tube Pivots DIY

make sure the inner diameter of the tube fits snugly around the pivot and that the outer diameter fits tight in the baseplate.
