would you get rail bite on an evo that had original S8's or S10's?

I'd be surprised if any wheel under 80mm touched the ground. originals are short trucks.

    New evo setup

crails, sabre barrels, inheats, race forms, or sunrise eifels.

I've been switching between my randall II 180s with 50 and 42 bp's and my bear grizzls I run biltins and can't say enough about them. I've tried colonel forbins jim z's, venom elims (I think 85a) right now I'm running a barrell cone combo all venom 91a rear 85a front (I think) and I've run 81a gumballs, 83mm flywheels I dont remember which duro but I really liked them, the sector nine race forms (both red and the yellow ones with with rounded lip) and soon I will try THE BEASTS but first I have to get off my lazy ass and go pick them up.

1.25 hardware may not be long enough. i use 1.25 on my hellcat and that barely fits, and an evo it about twice as thick. id go with 2" since you're also using a riser pad. and khiro hardware sucks.

Hmm... that would truely be bad if you are right.

I don't see how khiro hardware sucks though.. I have the same hardware on my dervish with no problems. They are just screws and nuts, I don't see how they could "suck"...

I know a couple of people I skate with that put purple inheats up front and orange inheats in back on their evos. It's actualy probably more common than split duro bigzigs. The reason being is to have the faster wheel up front. There are tons of threads on these. Just search for "split duro". I was thinking of doing that but if you read around enough you will see that you will have a more controled predrift if you just keep all duros the same.

I don't know much about the evo's, i've just gotten into DH last summer.

My friend came by last night and gave me this evo and said "I don't have much use for this deck and trucks (randal DH's) anymore so it's yours, have fun".

    So I have two questions,

What year model is this deck? And, will 3" KP's be long enough for Venom barrels to fit these trucks?

    Thanks.

3" JH's are what I'm running with my yellow venoms on my Evo. 2.75" would have probably been better.

As for your Evo, I'm not exactly sure what year but it looks like the same graphic as an '08 but red instead of green.

That's a 2007 Evo, set up as they were intended.
    3" KPs should work.

Just wondering, are you running 35/35 bps? Because with the dewedge, thats a very low angle for the back truck. Might I suggest a 35/50 combo? And a 3" kp is plenty room for venom barrels. That is what I run on my evo, good setup.

Because I have never seen a man can stand slide smoothly in slowly speed without Orangatang.

Yeah, I was reading up on the wedge/dewedge angles and i've noticed alot of people running a 50* BP in the rear. That would make a 35* angle, i think. I'll tryout a 50*.

I setup 42* RII's, on another board, with Venom barrels and had to upgrade to a 2.75" KP. I tried to switch over that bushing/kingpin setup on the DH's, and noticed the 2.75" was too short. I think the "sleeve" in the DH baseplate where the KP fits into is taller or longer than the RII's.
