Tons of people hate the Evo. I used to be a hater because it's all I saw for the longest time. But you can't really hate something unless you love it.....

I got my new randal dh trucks (35 degrees/160mm) this afternoon and Ill set them up on my evo after work. Right now Im running a randal 42 degree with a flipped hanger in the front and a standard 50 degree randal at the back. I was wondering if I should flip the front hanger on my 35 degrees or if the setup will already be too low (I have 70mm abec11 grippins wheels).

Ill mess around after my late-night session but Id like some fishies opinions before setting it all up. Thanks!

RDH 35* plates are the same height as R-II 50* plates, taller than 42s. the pivot is on top of the mounting plate instead of flush. you'll be fine.

Cindrich hangers on the Randal baseplates work PERFECTLY.

I have my Cindrich 200mm's on 35deg front and 42deg back.

Red elim bottoms, Purple Sabre tops. Lime Big Zigs.

I can't imagine a better ride. So stable yet so responsive, no problems cornering, and slides are so controllable. And oh soooo loooow.

Meh, just got back from a night dh session. My current setup is

    Evo 09
    RII Downhill 160mm (35deg)
    Red khiro barrels
    Abec11 70mm grippins

I don't know if it's a change from the 180 to 160mm hanger, but I don't feel in control of the board at all. I tried tightening and loosening up the trucks and nothing seem to work. What kind of bushings are you guys running on a similar setup? My RII came with black cones (probably 99a) but I haven't tried them on yet. Any thoughts?

I have blue khiro barrels in the 35*/180 Randals on my Evo. It works fine. Steady in a straight line but I can drift it even though it's shod with O'Tang Inheats.

Because of what the dewedge in the rear does to your trucks leverage, you want harder bushings rear. Running the same front and rear will make it feel looser in rear, which might not be a good thing.
