But on that you dont have the needed wheelbase...but yeah, a similar concept.
Im not being a flamer, but that seem a poor way to justify an unneeded rear design..
wheelbase is fine. ive done 50 on this thing.

I don't think it's really that un-needed. The tail on my board extends the exact same amount beyond the rear truck as a rayne hellcat. The difference: Mine looks badass and is wide enough to get your foot on.
Bottom line: don't be a hater just because you can't do a grind on vert on your DH board hahaha.

You are totally right over there...i cant do grinds! But i dont wanna, too...
About the board subject, i dont know if this is a board that is gonna be or is already coming out of the Madrid factory, and i also dont know if you trying to justify with "comedy" this look, or if it was made with the pourpose to do this...
If its the comedy one, nice job...
If not, i find it a bit of concept-crossing with no meaning...kind like a SUV.
Nor is a jeep, that can go all terrain, nor is a car...its a vehicle that can climb big sidewalks on the urban scenario thats what it is...
But thats just my opinion...
If the board is coming out, i think u deserve it trully, and i sure wish to be a sucessful sales product..

well. SUV's do have a purpose. they are very capable of off roading, not only jeeps are used for that. they also have more room to hold stuff and have more room for people that dont really fit that well into a car.
not everyone went straight to longboarding when they first got on a board. a lot of us started on street decks and pool boards, so having a tail is convenient. a lot of people can only afford one board so they use a "dh" deck to commute. a tail would be very convenient in this situation. not only that but like zak did, when traveling, sometimes you just forget or cant bring more than one board and it just happens that your staying near a place with a sick bowl. so why not use the one board you do have instead of missing out completely. not only that, but when im sitting at the top of the hill, waiting forever at an IGSA race (), i wouldn't mind messing around and doing some kickflips and manuals while the other 150 racers run their heats.
from a strategic standpoint, the tail actually does aid because when im drafting someone, i come within inches of their board before i pass. having a tail doesn't allow them to get the full effect of the slingshot.
bottom line: a boards a board and a board is made to be ridden no matter what it looks like. if you don't like it, go get another one that you do. simple. no need to make a big fuss over it and anything thats not constructive criticism is just falling on deaf ears. this just happens to be zak's PRO model and its something he likes. the best thing you can do is find a way to make your own pro model so that you'll like it. that or build your own. everyone has different measurements and features they want in a board.
GO SKATE!!!!!!!!

sick skating zak. Looks like a sick deck.
Its also very strange that in SF, if you dont go with the flow, or you have a somewhat different opinion about a subject, you are just labeled as "stupid" or "retard" plus many more terms...
I remind you this is a forum, where discussions are meant to happen...on a good way.
You are just defending your point with teeths and claws...
Never meant to flame about the board...was just questioning the meaning of the crazy tail.
Said before and will say again...best of lucks with the sales Zack...
I made that board so that I would have a pro model that didn't look like anyone else's board. I wanted to make a dropthrough that no douchebag kid would say "I like it, but it's a bit hellcat-ish" like a bunch of kids always say about a new dropthrough DH deck.
However, it wasn't until I got the first prototype that I figured out that i could ollie it. That video shows that the ugly tail does have uses beyond looking hella cool. They just weren't necessarily intended uses. haha

And the freedom to do that is what makes this sport so kickass! Nice work. I think the board looks wicked, btw.
It sort of sounds like you want magic. Like you want everything out of it. Like people who want a super grippy wheel that slides like butter which is plush enough to absorb road bumbs but hard enough to slide for ever without loosing speed but is also good for speed checks etc. insanity.
