pretty sure this was during qualifying. I bet he would have raced it if it didnt rain on race day. Joel got somewhere up in the top 10 qualifying times on that board.
Top is joel putrah, bottom is a guy from GOG. The guy from gog rode his board the entire time, joel rode his slalom board along with zak maytum when it was dry.

the guy from GOG rode his board even it was wet?...
they rode a slalom board and didnt get a speedwobbles, WTH?!! why they rode a slalom board ?
grip, better lines. Slalom boards have pretty dead rear trucks, as long as you can handle the speed and you dont need to drift it, a slalom board can be faster.

so they dont drift their board?...what about you guys can you guys handle the speed?
you dont drift at maryhill, at least not intentionally.
the more agile your board rides the better, so slolam boards are sick for maryhill, joel was in the top ten qualifyers on the slolam board.
it why marcado switced to 149's. the narrower trucks take sick lines absolutely sick
umm i believe he had radicals. but i'm not sure what his angles were i think it was like 55 up front and far less in the back i wana say 35 but thats more of a guess...lime bigzigs and his bored was a foamie, i think pavel but i'm only about 75% sure about that
It sort of sounds like you want magic. Like you want everything out of it. Like people who want a super grippy wheel that slides like butter which is plush enough to absorb road bumbs but hard enough to slide for ever without loosing speed but is also good for speed checks etc. insanity.
