Crail vs. Bear 1052s vs. ___?

Hey guys,

Sorry if this thread has already been made before and for all my questions lately.

But i was wondering which speed trucks for say less than $120 for a set are best. These are going on a nemmy (eventually) if it matters. I was looking at crails because ive read great things about them, and bear 1052s look beast...any other ideas?

Maybe try the Sabres? Judging by their bushings, they are gonna be sick trucks!

Sabre 190mm ? Longboard Skateboards | Landyachtz, Sector Nine, Kebbek, Earthwing, Loaded, Rayne, G&S, Seismic, Rainskates, Retro, Gravity, Pink, Bear, Bennett

(Don't take my word for it though, since I haven't ridden them).

50 degree randals, paris, new 195mm paris coming out soon, wait for cast munkaes to come out

I don't really like bears, due to quality, but the set I owned was the old gen..

why no love for randal or paris. i have used both on a nemesis and they were sick! much better than bears on the same setup in my opinion.

i havent used crails but i hear they are good. i suggest 50/50 paris/prandal or 50/42.

you could also check out fasttracks by tracker.

Also I'd get the Sabres. If only for the reviewability purposes. Also, Switchback is pretty close to me and they're sweet to deal with.

That price, is that $65 CAD for one truck, or a set? 'cause it just has a picture of one :/

its mostly cause i already use randals.

Seems bear are out...gor replaced by sabres haha. Im leaning towards crails though.

ive only heard of cast munkaes in this thread, but i cant see how it would be much different than what is already available (randal, paris, bear, etc). if they can find a way to make the axel closer to the kingpin like in the regular munkaes without sacrificing strength i'd be impressed.

my guess is they will be atleast 180, maybe follow the 190+ trend, have a decent bushing seat for venoms or sabres and not much else.

Crails would be better compared to Bear 840's.
That being said, I don't care for the captive kingpin in Bears. The bushing seat was improved in 08.

yeah it is all relative, however imo Crails are better quality

agreed. i dont know about the newest generation of bears but ive used the first and second gen and was dissatisfied with both. ill stick with my prandals n indys...mostly indys...hey OP get indys!

By better comparison, I meant a 45 degree truck will feel more like a 40 degree truck than a 52 degree truck. ....subjective...

Its all personaly prefference for the rider. My cousins favorite is bears. Indys and Seismics are my favorites. My freind swears by randells.

I've got Bear 1040's. Really swishy feel when top mounted with JimZ. Similar feel on my Evo too. I'm getting Crails in the mail soon so I'll write write a comparison on this thread if you haven't picked a truck by the time you choose.
