it might be repetitive but adding possible death into every corner it makes it a lil less repetitive and thats thing we strive for.. fun

Re: Words CAN NOT describe this..
ReeceMan, seriously, BORED?!
If you could get bored skating a hill like that, and if you're not just saying that because some part of you is a little ... envious(?), then I really think you need to change sports.
I mean, come on. If you couldn't have fun on that hill over and over, it's really something you need to think about. You could do it just footbraking one time, you could predrift the next one, ride it switch the next, try it without leathers or helmet for that extra danger buzz, ride it at night... Just keep hitting it until you know you did it perfectly. That's at least two week's worth of riding just to do the last one.
Rein the machismo in and admit it, the hill is bitchin'.

Re: Words CAN NOT describe this..
Er, ReeceMAn, maybe I was a little harsh. We all have our preferences, and you have a right to yours.
There's a lot of tech runs in Europe with this straight-hairpin-straight setup. Most of them aren't as long as this. Even here in Spain the few DHers we have are a bit split over which kind of run is best - the big sweeping speedruns, or the tight, hairpinny tech ones. I get the feeling that the IGSA is mulling over the same question. Peyregudes is a lot more tech than a lot of the older races, for example. For the record, most of what I ride is more like P'Gudes than Mary. But Mary's the one I dream of.

I made the video on a different hill from the picture. It was like 30-35 between corners, but there were soo many corners back to back, it was hard to pick up speed. After the last corner, I was hitting up to 55 mph on the flat, it was really surprising how fast it picked up!
We got lost on the way to the pass, and ran out of sunlight! Italy does not really put up any road signs and it was hard to get around. We spend 3 hours looking for the hill in pure darkness, then finally drove up it blindly. We thought we reached the top, and set up camp. Then slept for 3 hours till the sun woke us up. We drove allllll the way to the ski resort at the top and bombed down.
Here is the rest of the hill from where the other was taken. We were about halfway down the hill, it is a 32 minute mammoth bomb of the most intense riding I have ever skated. Speeds vary for 55+ mph in the straights to 35-50 mph in the corners, the tunnel section is 1 1/2 car lanes wide and pitch black... you are constantly on your toes as to what is happening next. At one point in the tunnel section, it went pitch dark, then to water fall, then back to pitch dark....craziest moment on a skateboard!
The hill was forcing me to go fast through the tunnel, and I battled it footbraking whenever I could see for a second, I was going at about 25-30 mph at this time, then I saw a flash of light and a giant ski bus shot up the tunnel! I managed to squeeze by it and then the tunnel section finally ended. There was a rad, fast predrift section that I burned through, then the hill was over.
The surface is smooth in sections, but the corners have what it seems to be tank tracks in them, so if you predrift late you will get eaten up!
Unfortunately, my gopro died halfway down the hill, so I really didnt get any of the good footage.
It was crazy to be in Switzerland, coming from Colorado I thought I was at the highest level of hills, but coming here was like moving from a green run to a double black diamond on the slopes, it is easy to see why the best skaters come from Switzerland....they have the gnarliest hills!
The first picture looks like the bottom of the spluegen pass

I dont see how it looks so steep from that picture, heck, german busses filled with Adolfs and Gerterudes get up that road. I think it might be taken at a slightly tilted angle or with a fancy spancy lens or something. Then again, I am starting to wonder, the road does climb 2000 feet, so I am not sure. It has ever seemed that steep. I have bombed the first straight there, but there are so many tourists in the summer months, and I cant slide so I freaked out four fifths of the way You build up speed incredibly fast. I guess I would need a pit stop to change shoes down by the waterfall
ya it didnt look real to me in those pictures and if it is real it didnt look ride able!.... i would learn to slide before i tried that hill out again!

Re: Words CAN NOT describe this..
There are four problems,
the steepness (for the lack of a better word)
The semicrummy road, not all that bad, but I wouldnt call it the smoothest thin in the world, at least in some places
The large drop in certain turns. In the turns that face in towards the cliff, there is often sharp drops which means speedincreasement and lack of controll
My suckiness.
