    very nice.

For a DH helmet, very few helmets come with visors, until you hit the $300 range. I love the bell drop, and when i have the money, ill be getting one and making my own visor.

You can check into Colabo helmets, they take bell drops and the charly visors, (im not 100% on all this). I don't think they are selling atm, but they look Sexy.

    Wall of text!

How fast does it have to be in order to be considered DH?

You just bumped my favorite pass time to an overly expensive scavenger hunt.

I remember before the internet... Watching DH videos doesn't make anyone a better skater. Practice does.

Some say DH = going down any hill, which i guess is true... But i think like 30mph that isn't down a straight run.

I love watching videos, gets me all pumped, and it really does help. But ultimately, practice with a helmet.

I like watching videos too, but I don't think copying other riders helps... Copying someone else doesn't mean what they do is comfortable with you.

Good info, but I would have formatted it better and used proper grammar rules and spelling.

A bit one sided. I don't think you need half that shit for DH. Not everyone wants to hang out at motorcycle shops, wear leathers, buy precision trucks, etc etc.

    Helmet, skateboard, and slide gloves.

    I rate it 3 out of 5

    bingo

    new to DH
^^^^ thread is more about technique than gear which is more useful IMO.

    skill > stuff.

i give this thread a 1 out of 5. no real info on gear. just a list of company names. subjective learning methods.
the only useful info i picked up was the part about having to have a one piece suit for sanctioned races.

This could have potential, but it's kind of a miss. Most of the truck info is off or misleading. And you don't need all of that. But A for effort.

The Bell drop looks good and seems to be popular, anything similar, but a little less expensive?
