hellcat or avenger?

Which should I get? I have randal 180s on 50* plates with monsterhawg wheels. The board I have now is a drop thru, but I see more vids with people riding topmountS lately. I`m learnig some predrifts right now, and and I want a board that will help me with that.

Depends, depends, depends. Really loose topmount = predrift whenever you like, but footbraking is hell. Really loose dropthrough = have to predrift because you won't be able to grip the corners anyway. These are extreme examples, you can tweak your setup to make it do whatever you like.
Both great boards, you can predrift on either of them (see Orangatang wheel's video promo for purple 4presidents and watch K-Rimes predrifting an avenger).
Pick one, figure out what you like/don't like, then apply that to your next board. Unless you never intend getting another board. They're both great. Hellcat's probably more versatile.

I would love to pick them up and see but, we have only skateshops here that carry only S9, so I`ll be ordering online. Will probably go for the hellcat, since I`m pretty new to the sport and it seems more allaround.

get the hellcat and you can figure out if you like topmounts or dropthrus better.

Do you mean an avenger because then he'd have one of each??

no i mean a hellcat because than he can have it topmounted or dropped thru and then he can actually figure out which he likes better without having to worry about other factors like quality and size of the board he has now

I know that this has been covered; but do you have one topmounted? If so, how's it ride?

Avenger all the way. You can predrift it, but it still has the grip when you just wanna rail a corner.

Binned my drop thro today because it had too much drift.....................

completely agree.
unless you plan to do A LOT of drifting.
well, i have the 07 avenger, so i don't know if you're talking about the old avenger or the speed bump avenger.

I`m talking about the new speed bump avenger, the dome is supposed to make drifting easier.

My Avenger is set up on Paris with Otang Stims and I can start to get it to drift corners at 25mph without trying too hard. Not a full on slide but as I corner I can feel the back starting to squirrel out a little. Still controllable and grippy but if I push it harder I can really get it out there. The Avenger is awesome for everything fast. I don't care that it rides higher than a drop through. It's a great board.

I own both, and i would say its a tough choice, they're both sick but it depends what your used to, and how you have them setup!
but if you want drift i would say hellcat.

it really is all about preference... just pick one and try different setups till you get what your looking for, you cant go wrong with either deck though. i ride my hellcat more for DH and my avenger for everything.
