    Default Demonseed not for downhill.

When i told people i ordered one, they kept on going the demonseed isn't for downhill, it's too big can't handle the corners, it's hard to drift and all that stuff. Now i was convinced that a dseed is a downhill bored strangly, and i want to know your opinions on wether it actually is or not.

    Thanks.

    They're probably jealous.
It seems to me that the double-drop would make it extremely drifty.

It's a great board. However, I did find mine to be on the slippery side. You can downhill anything and your style may fit the board perfectly.

    EWHAT????

its a low, stiff board with a large wheelbase...sounds dh oriented to me.

you could always refer to the rayne web page, the first line calls this thing a speedboard.

Hmm Rayne seems to say this about it on their site:

"The Demonseed is the most comfortable speedboard on the market Capable of reaching speeds you can only dream about. This board has a long wheelbase, TONS of foot space and a DEEP TUB Concave that is comfortable on long hill bombs while still gripping like a vice in the corners."

Sounds DH oriented to me. Tell your friends they fail...

a dh board should be loosely defined as a stiff board used to reach speeds. usually with concave and a wheelbase between 28"-32", though some select few go smaller/larger for preference sake.

voila, a definition for a dh deck.

i've used a couple boards for downhill, and i've noticed that compared to a top mounted dh board, drop decks dont stick corners as well. they slide out when a topmount keeps gripping, but thats the only difference i've noticed. i still dh mostly with my 08 hellcat!
