DH boards.... so many
Ive been looking into DH boards recently, wow... there are a lot. Ive decided to buy one, but I am not completely inexperienced. I have ridden an evo and a hellcat like board. For obvious price related reasons the carbon evo is off the table. The hellcat and the evo seem like the two most popular choices but I am also interested in the Rayne Brianne Davies Isis which does not have a review on silverfish yet. Help me.

Re: DH boards.... so many
Do not get an evo. I did not particularly like mine. Some people do but I did not.
I'm looking into getting a Hellcat of ASYM now

Re: DH boards.... so many
Hard choices eh?
Well now, as you're new to it you don't need to worry too much, you just need some general guidelines.
Higher setups grip and turn more, but can feel less stable.
Lower setups drift more but may be more stable in a straight line.
Dead or low angle back trucks give more stability, looser higher angle front trucks give better turning.
Hard lipped wheels willl help you grip, but may come at the cost of smooth slides.
Lighter boards (As long as they are still stiff) corner, accelerate and brake better due to decreased momentum.
You've picked out three boards there, all nice ones!
The Evo will drift the most, but probably feel the most stable. It is also a little more complicated to set up correctly, some people have issues with it. On the other hand it's the most podiumed board out there.
The hellcat is a little more nimble, the new one has W concave, some people love it, some people hate it. It should give you better toeside cornering ability.
The isis also has the W concave, designed for people with slightly smaller feet. Depending on how big you are this could be a good choice. If you're a bit bigger and want something simialr (ish) check out the nemesis.
It's a hard descision indeed! At worst, buy one, ride it for a bit, if you really hate it, sell it and buy a different one!

This is all first class advice. In addition;
Don't be put off the Evo because it may be harder to set up. I've ridden an Evo, and didn't like it, but they are superb boards.
In general ANY split angle set up, say 50deg front and 35deg rear, needs careful set up. This is because a lower angle truck takes LESS force to turn than a higher angle, so if you run a lower angle in the back, you're going to need slightly harder bushings to compensate, so that both trucks have the same resistance to any rider input.
The Evo has split angles built in to the deck and works best with low angle trucks, IMHO., which just leaves which bushings to chose.
Most importantly though, just buy a board, put a set up on it that you know works (ask on here!!!!), and then just have FUN.

Re: DH boards.... so many
Yah feel free to PM if you need a hand with split angles, I've spent a lot of time with them....

Re: DH boards.... so many
Ok so I am 6 feet tall and , about 180 lbs, I was considering getting a DH board for bombing hills. The evo is a great board, I have been riding it with my friends, but there is also a lot of hype over the hellcat and evo. The evo is a bit too stable for me, even with speed the turning does not always feel right, but that also could have been the tracker fast tracks on it.

the fact that it was setup with tracker fast tracks would explain the funky turning...
the fastracks are 50* trucks and with the inbuilt wedging of the evo that makes the front 65 which would have a very strange turn. If you did get an evo i would recommend running a baseplate with an angle between 35 and 45 degrees

Try borrowing boards from your friends perhaps? Get a good feel of what you might want.
