Fingers crossed Kebbek updates the Smoothcut.
If you know what you want contact CLB or Longboardlarry and have them make it for you...or make it yourself. They're really really good about not jacking up prices for custom made boards. So if you want something, draw up an idea and give them a call.

I took a bad fall on 5/24/2008 at Mt. Baker, went off the road and fell down the side of the mountain. I went into a coma, badly broke my pelvis, lacerated my liver and almost died on the mountain AND later in the hospital. The rehabilitation therapists had to teach me how to do everything again...everything.
I survived that mountain because of my helmet...WEAR ONE and send your family to the hospital, not the morgue.

That's a good idea; when I get some more cash I'll look into that.

Landyachtz has the drop speed (i have one), drop wedge (discontinued?) and drop carve, pocket pistols has the drop thru hill killer, chicago longboards has a drop thru, insect has the lightning bug, wefunk has the speedbone, lush has one, and probably a dozen others i'm not aware of...

Re: your dh setup
I talked with Ian from Kebbek-
He says the Smoothcut is the same shape. As far as CLB, LBL, SC8, Lush, and some others, they're out of my range. I have heard the PPS is too flexy, and whatever else. But thanks for your help and all your recommendations bro'z.
Despite Rayne's QC issues, I'm thinking the Hellcat would be best suited for me.

The smoothcut is 9.5 at the widest, not too narrow at all. I also think, honestly, that the hellcat is a little uglier. I only say that because the nose shape doesn't do it for me... it looks a little vunerable to smashing.

quality control, a lot of the hellcats have messed up wheel wells, the old ones had some problems with the drop through cut outs and drilling too.

The nose looks more beefyer/nicer than the the tail -just an opinion. And even less important, the nose has aesthetics.

Re: your dh setup
tony--try the big zigs. they kick ass. when i first rode them i though they were all about grip but when i needed to throw them into a big drift, they had the most perfect drift ever. not butter smooth like a krypto, but super predictable

Re: your dh setup
Hey tony,
Does having the baseplates flushed with the bottom of the deck actually make it a good amount lower?

Re: your dh setup
Meh it kinda make a difference. The board has about .25" of drop if that and the flush baseplates takes you down maybe and 1/8th of an inch so it does make a differance it's very minimal. it really makes the board look real smooth though which is always a plus.
