Carbon deck and why two.
the DH is the only Motion drop thru speed deck and it has dual carbon bean. There are other Motion decks with carbon, but the DH is their only speed deck. I'd figure with a spare deck, I can switch quickly between two setups and maintain the deck feel as opposed to going to a different deck altogether. Also, if and when I crash and burn one deck, I'll still have another one in good condition. there are other decks that I want and there are decks in my quiver that I don't want. The Motion DH is a beutifully made deck, I want two, waaawaawaaa
I will setup one with flys and Comp II and the other with strikers and Luge. Both will have ceramic bearings throughout. Gulp, that's more money...oh well, its only money, happiness is more important. right now I have a cold coming on with sore throat so dreaming new boards is keeping me happy Hey, I'm no different than the next guy, there are things that i want that I cannot afford, as well. It just so happens that boards are not one of them. It's okay to dream!

Re: Motion DH seems perfect for what I want.
Its a great deck, isn't it? Its got the crazy wheelbase about an inch longer then other DH decks, a hint of flex, nice concave just flat enough in the center to rest the feet for control- size 9 shoes anyways.
What kind of grip do you have and what is the rest of your setup??
Enjoy!

Latest setup. 2nd Motion DH will have to wait.
Just in,
*Insect Lightning Bug #001 custom carbon, 1st one ever made and with multiple carbon layers, bottom and in between.
I am very ill right now but managed to put together with components:
*Randal Comp-II 170mm floating axle trucks 35degree bases, flipped for speed. Bones 6-balls inside, w/ Tracker custom fitted green top bushings, Randal black bottom bushings.
*Abec 11 Strykers 77mm 84A
*Pleasure Tools Abec-7 bearings with green shields for the wheels.
Setup and ready to go save for have to get shorter truck baseplate bolts to increase clearance to hangars.
I don't think that I will ride this one for a while.
Setup weighs 11lbs equal weight to my Motion DH setup which has Luge trucks.

I'M STOKED!!!
John (f.a.h.s.) tore his ACL a few days ago. Sugery & a long rehab is required. He offered his rig for purchase. This bad b-itch is mine now. I think he's busting out after his recovery. MAGUNS & whatever. He's a nut!

Nope. One of them, the SIG 552 is a double eagle from a flea market.
The other one is what I skirmish with. It's an ICS / Airsoft Elite v3.5 with systema replacement gears. It shoots ~420 stock, but I downgraded it to ~325 because 420 is WAY too powerfull for CQB.

You know it S.K. Once you ride them, you'll fall in love! top mount is the way to go on these babies.
I'm not so keen on how they look. I gave the 170mm JimZ's a whirly & I think I need more time on them cuz they're a little twitchy compared to the Talons.
Lyle, are your riding in Db5, Maryhill, or the race in Vernon? I'd love to be in your shoes right now!! I'll miss those races until I get a running car.

Gorillabiscuits, Nice boards! You coming up to CO for the US Nationals of Speedboarding? It is up on the NCSDA calendar and is being held on Look Out Mountain down Lariat Loop. You need to get back up here for this one.

Hey Guys! Love the board with the Talons! Can somebody tell me how the turing is with the 1 inch axle and 35 baseplate! Im wondering wich baseplate i should go for! Im only gonna use them for downhill bu i still want them to turn as well as my R2! This guy told me that he's JimZ with 35 turned more than his r2 just because of the Sphearical bearing in hanger and pivot!
If someone could help me with this, i would be superhappy!
