Like Lb1 said... as you turn and put pressure on the kingpin, it will move back and forth ever so slightly. If you run the kingpin un-flipped, the SHARP THREADS will dig into the kingpin hole of the baseplate and make the hole wider and wider. That = slop, and slop = bad. Flip 'em!
(You need to remove the kingpin and the hanger completely every time you want to change the bottom bushing if you do flip 'em on Kahalani's, which isn't bad at all if you figure out your bushing setup beforehand.)
