Not with those risers though, eh?

Indy's can get sketchy pretty quick... I've heard many people suggest de-wedging the back a good bit and even de-wedging the front a little.

yes with a 1/4" flat in the front and 4* dewedge in the rear it sits 1/4" higher at the nose or tail than my dropthough...the only difference is the drop through is on 75mm wheels and the topmount is on 71mmwheels. I have another 4* wedge for the front if needed but I'm not likely to skate much over 50mph if ever so I"m not too worried. I plan on running Greentree Thursday afternoon to test it back to back with my drop through that will give me a good idea of how it behaves at speed. BTW 4* is a lot in the back it radically changes the way it turns

I remember going down one hill and getting speedwobbles, tried the same hill again a year later and I didn't get speedwobbles. Stability comes from how comfortable you feel on a board and accumulated skill, so the more you ride, the better you get.

    Hellcat
    Crails:
-Front: Yellow Stim bottom, neon Green Stim top
-Rear: Green Stim bottom, Blue Stim top
    Powerballs
    Reds

Super smooth drifter. The only thing I don't like about the setup is that the Hellcat feels kinda rickety. It's super stiff with no dampening whatsoever. It gets the job done though.

I agree Indy's can get sketch real quick... But then also come out of it real quick too. Sure, they're "twitchy" trucks, but they're so FUN!
    Gecko I'm loving the setup.
I've been watching my Gravity Games DVDs from when they were in Providence... Everyone wobs, everyone bails, and half the people are on indys. Now that's racing

I know that, my point is Indy's at 50 mph, those trucks were not desing for down hill, like Radikal or R DH or C7 Forces.

I wouldn't say indy weren't designed for downhill, since indy was all about racing before other forms of skating, and the designer of the truck Rick Blackhart, was a serious racer. the truck was designed for "skateboarding" and that meant everything back the. I was just over at Rick's the other day and he still has his old Hickey race deck, modified a bit in the rear, and set up with indys of course. Dewedged in the rear with a few washers.

What we should say is that the indy design isn't as modern as current downhill trucks. But i suspect that anyone used to skating them for other forms of skating may like them just fine for downhill also. guys who start out on modern downhill trucks may find indy squirrely though. much has changed in the last 30 years.

Ithis board is really more for garages, urban bombing and tight twisty DH stuff not so much for all out speed. I have a dropthrough for flat out speed that I am rock solid tucked in the high 40's. I may dewedge the front I may not it really depends on how it feels....with the current weather however I'll be carving on snow this weekend more likely than asphalt

Slim I understand what you mean, but I still stand by my comment. I started skating back in the seventy's, I been skating for about 30 years off and on. I to started with Indy's and Kriptonic wheels. Back them they only came in three colors and the colors dictated the duro. I still ride Indy's and they will always have a place in my Arsenal.

But I will never bomb a hill with them, I much rather use Force C7, R DH 35* 180
or my Radikals. If He is Ok with Indy's for DH, it's all good

If Indy's were desing for DH there will be no need to dewedge the trucks ( Dewedged in the rear with a few washers)

It will be really cool if you can pass by Rick's house or call him and ask , what type of skating your trucks were desing for?
Come on Slim, inquire minds want to know hook us up!!!
