This is only the second Tex Lightning Bug that Insect has made. He doesn't offer it on his website but I am sure if you drop him an email he could do one up for you.

Just finished this one up this evening.
    What a pain to build.
Gave it a quick test on the hill in front of the house.
Ran it up to 32 and kneedown footbraked it to a stop in front of the driveway.
Got to get this to some of our bigger hills.

You have! I didn't come up with it we can thank Chris Chaput and his Danger Bay ride for that.
But if you are a Mongo kicking, Brazilian tucking rider it is a natural. I wish I had thought of it.
Now if I could just get a set of 6 MoMos for it!

Very nice work Sk8geezer!! Holy Crap that thing looks nice. I still don't fully understand the drop down box concept... does it feel better in a tuck or something ? How does it corner? I am used to taking turns with my rear foot at an angle or sideways.

If you kick Mongo it makes it really easy to get up to speed faster. Then when you go into a knee down tuck your back foot stays in the box so your heel isn't sticking up as far this makes it easier to corner with out having to change your position very much. Plus you have the traction of a top-mounted speed board.
