Re: your dh setup
HerBDerb - if i have the trucks quite loose and stand right on the edge of the board i can get it to get hanger bite, but so far riding it i havent had an issue. The deck i am designing at the moment is a foamcore, and the foam will be set in from the edge, so i should get another 5 - 6mm clearance from hanger to deck.

It's been working out really well. The reflex JimZ shapes make all the difference paired with the bit of flex in the board and the urethane depth on the Superballs. A plush ride for sure. The shape is perfect, I never thought I'd be able to be comfortable on a board under 10" wide but with the concave I have good foot position every time. No chance of wheelbite either, although I did riser it 1/8" simply to protect the deck. And having a board under 40" is just easier all around for me.
Tried the Alligators on it for a few days, but didn't like them as much as the 'balls. Also messed around with washers so the reflex bottom is in the right spot.
I don't ride any of my other boards anymore

...which is why I'm saying I don't see what's so unique about it to make it "rule all" the many other topmounts with crails, jimz, and superballs/bigzigs. his saying "topmount to rule all topmounts" leads one to believe there's something special about it..
i'm just saying that i've seen topmount setups i'd much prefer over that one, but that's not to discredit circle's chalice - i'm sure it's a sweet ride.

Re: your dh setup
It is a unique topmount speedboard.
The combination of rocker, sweet concave, and multiple wheelbases make for a one of a kind ride, IMO, far superior to that of an avenger or something similar.

While I agree with your first statement and I agree that it's a one of a kind ride I'm not so sure that that means it's superior to an Avenger, Revenger or anything similar just that its different. A damp board is nice when it comes to smoothing out road noise especially when out freeriding but I find that same dampness to be a hindrance at higher speeds, this is of course given the construction of boards that I have ridden if someone comes along and builds a DH Skateboard with the same kind of titinal construction that Prior Coiler SG and Kessler use for alpine snowboards then maybe we really can have dampness and speed capability in the same package

The board is just about as stiff as an avenger, if you jump on it, it will flex somewhat though. It is not the same as the voodoo

Re: your dh setup
indeed, i agree with these comments, and I agree with Robert Borek's basic comment that you haven't tried every topmount out there.. mainly I disagree with circle's comment that it is "superior" to an avenger/revenger/other topmounts just because of its unique construction only due to the fact that you find these "advantages" because they suit YOUR OWN riding style.
when it really comes down to it, what makes a ride superior to other's is how the rider feels on it. I could hop on your chalice and hate how it feels, and hop on my chopped s9 bomb hills and say I find it "superior" because it's cut to the size I want, has the concave I want, and it just feels comfortable for ME.
still, I'm in no way discrediting the unique construction of your deck.
