the back is no wider than the front, it may look it, but its the same width, if not slightly smaller. the idea of the waist is to be able to place your foot in the cut out when cornering on your toes.

weights the same as my hellcat, materials in the board is about $50AUD, cost 150 each for me and my mate to make one each, as we needed to build the press, buy materials etc.

i believe the magun board and also Pete Connoly's (lush) board have the same sort of thing.

I love my G-Speed... the response out of this board totally kicked my ass going downhill on it the first time. The rocker-eske drop makes cornering in your tuck a breeze, the transitions are wonderful. Not to mention the built in rails are pretty darn convenient when you corner... go Godspeed. haha.

After riding it on the weekend i have come up with a couple of minor changes. I will be making the deck slightly skinnier, and also slightly shorter ie. bringing the back section forward about 10mm. i should have the next deck built in about a month, we have to wait for our wood supplier to come back from holidays. After the next pressing, as long as all works well, i will look at making some boards to order. Ill keep you posted.
