Ive had my randal baseplate crash it curbs more than one time, only scratches.
Theyre tough, i don't think he has to worry bout it.

oh i never crashed in curbs, but i did come out of slides and my board flew away hitting a curb.
edit: Actually nevermind, i have crashed in a curb once, i was texting while riding and forgot to pay attention

id rather replace a 12 dollar baseplate and like the way my wheelbase works than a 150 dollar deck and ride a wheelbase that im not happy with

oh man, thats a bummer, i guess i was lucky and got a tough one.
Coz mine hit like 4 times.
But it might also be coz of the angle it was on with my evo.

If you manage to mess up a Rogers Bros deck from pure head on impact, a 150 dollar deck is the LEAST of your worries.
I've beat the #### out of my topmount, and the only thing thats different is the missing anodizing on the rails/edges of the board.
The only thing that can render them unskateable is by bending one

+1. Esp. since some manufacturers will sell you a baseplate by itself (Randal, etc).
To that end, I've always thought the Bear Grizzly design (which I'm running on my Evo), with the extra bit of metal sticking out in front of the nose, is so clever.
